Point Guard
Lonzo Ball ($7,400) vs Cavaliers– Lonzo Ball has really picked up his play as of late and the addition of Zion Williamson to the rotation will only boost Ball’s numbers. Zion is an elite finisher and with Ball’s accuracy he should be able to easily give it to him in the right spot for some easy buckets. He has 12+ assists in two of his last 3 games and overall in his last 6 games he is averaging 10.3 PPG 10.3 APG and 6.8 RPG. The shot will always be a question mark but he has been scoring it better as of late and when Lonzo pops off he usually puts up huge numbers which could happen vs a bad Cleveland team that is coming off a back to back.
Shooting Guard
Terry Rozier ($6,800) vs Knicks– Rozier and the Hornets haven’t played a lot of games lately with their recent trip to Paris vs the Bucks but Rozier has started to earn the big contract that he signed this past offseason with the Hornets. He has scored 20+ points in 7 of his last 10 games and has been contributing very nicely on the boards and passing it well with backcourt mate Graham. The Knicks have been pretty solid guarding opposing guards but with Rozier shooting it over 50% from the 3 point line in 4 of the last 6 games he will be tough to stop at home.
Small Forward
Norman Powell ($5,300) vs Hawks– Powell comes into the Raptors game vs the Hawks tonight playing some great basketball. He is averaging 19.3 PPG and 3.7 RPG on over 50% from the field and 43.2% from the 3 point line in his last 6 games and has been a key option off the bench. He wasn’t great in their last game on Sunday but other than that he has been easily scoring over 30 FPPG. The Hawks defense is awful as a whole and are allowing the 6th most FPTS to opposing SG/SF’s this season on DK so getting Powell at only $5,300 is a steal in my opinion.
Power Forward
Jerami Grant ($6,500) vs Grizzlies– Nuggets forward Paul Millsap has been banged up as of late and Jerami Grant has stepped up in a big way and is contributing nicely for the Nuggets. He has put up 16.2 PPG and 6.0 RPG on 50% shooting in the last 6 games and has scored over 33 FPTS in each of his last 4 games. He has the size and athleticism to hold an advantage over opposing PFs and he has even gone 8/17 on his last 17 three point attempts so defenses will have to deal with that. So much focus is put on Nikola Jokic that I think Grant will continue to be able to put up solid numbers for fantasy owners in Millsap’s absence.
Center
Deandre Ayton ($8,200) vs Mavericks– Ayton has been a little up and down with the suspension and getting benched at one point but when he is on the floor for an extended amount of time he is a double-double machine. He is averaging 17.6 PPG and 12.2 RPG in the last 5 games and has been an overall dominant offensive force on the Suns behind Devin Booker. It’s hard to pass up a guy who is averaging over 41 FPPG in the last 5 games and has such a high floor vs the Mavs who have been bottom tier vs big men on DK this season.
Sleeper Play
Cam Reddish ($4,300) vs Raptors– Hawks rookie Cam Reddish got off to a really slow start offensively but it looks like we may have turned a corner. He has put up 14.2 PPG and 5.0 RPG on 50% shooting from 3 in his last 6 games and he still has been very good on the defensive side of the floor with 1.3 SPG. Trae Young needs help and Reddish is the guy that can offer that on drive and kick opportunities and much more. They will take on the Raptors tonight who allow the 2ndmost FPTS to SG/SF’s this season on DK and at only $4,300 I think he is worth a shot if you need a lower tier option.
