Point Guard
Shake Milton ($6,500) vs Kings– With all the injuries to key players on the 76ers, Shake Milton has gotten a big bulk of minutes and it is working out for him. In the last 5 games he is averaging 19.4 PPG and 5.0 APG on 65% from behind the arc and 61% from the field. These numbers are sustainable but he gets up a lot of shots and the offense tends to run through him. In the G-league he was known as a scorer and he has been able to make that transition. The Kings allow 110 PPG on the season so I think Milton should have a good shot at putting up a solid performance tonight.
Shooting Guard
Buddy Hield ($5,900) vs 76ers– Hield continues to come off the bench for the Kings, but that doesn’t mean he is shooting any less than he has in the past. He has put up 16 and 17 shots in each of the last two games and a bulk of those have been behind the 3 point line. He is shooting over 40% from behind the arc in the last 5 games and in those games he is averaging almost 30 FPPG. Hield doesn’t have huge upside because he primarily only scores the basketball but I think he will prevail tonight at home.
Small Forward
Kawhi Leonard ($9,300) vs Rockets– There isn’t a lot of big stars in this slate of games but Kawhi Leonard is one of them. He comes into this contest averaging 24.6 PPG 7.6 RPG and 3.4 APG which is good for over 43 FPPG. The Rockets defense ranks dead last on DraftKings against opposing SF’s this season and Leonard just happens to be one of the best. He should be able to get active on the glass vs the Rockets small ball lineup and as long as he keeps scoring he will be a good play tonight.
Power Forward
Harry Giles III ($5,400) vs 76ers– Giles continues to thrive with his increased playing time and he has now scored double digit points in 6 straight contests. He is also shooting the ball very effectively, 60% in the last 5 games. Giles can get active on the glass to go along with his scoring and against the 76ers, who will be without Joel Embiid and others, he should be able to continue that trend. At only $5,400 there is some value in this spot with the Kings, who are playing well, at home vs the 76ers.
Center
Nikola Jokic ($9,500) vs Hornets– Jokic continues to lead the Nuggets and he continues to be one of the best do it all centers in the NBA today. He has put up 19 PPG 11.3 RPG and 6.0 APG on over 60% from the field in his last 4 games. Denver doesn’t have a true point guard but with Jokic that doesn’t matter and even his 6 APG in those most recent games is a little low. The Hornets rank 29th vs opposing centers on DK this season so with someone like Jokic coming into town he should have a big night.
Sleeper Play
Danuel House Jr. ($4,000) vs Clippers– House hasn’t been the most consistent player but in this Rockets offense it is a toss-up to see which of the role players will have big nights. House is coming off one of his best games in a while, 20 points with 4 threes, the other night vs the Knicks so he is riding momentum coming into this spot. At only $4,000 I am willing to take a shot on house knowing he has taken 7 and 11 threes in the last two games and he will likely get a good amount of looks in this game.
