DraftKings NFL Daily Fantasy Cash Game Picks Week 4

Quarterbacks
Philip Rivers ($6,200) vs Dolphins– The Chargers lost a tough one last week but Rivers continues to throw the ball a lot without Melvin Ingram in the LA backfield. He will not be with the team again this week and the Chargers will travel across the country to take on the dreaded Dolphins. Their defense is horrible and with Keenan Allen playing the way he is and Ekeler with his run after catch ability in the backfield we should see another big Rivers throwing day, even if he doesn’t play the whole game depending on the score.
Daniel Jones ($5,300) vs Redskins– We got our first taste of rookie Daniel Jones last week and it was great for DFS owners. He put up 39.24 FPTS throwing for 336 yards 2 TDs and running for 28 yards and 2 TDs. He has mobility the only issue is he fumbles a lot which is something we can look past if he is racking up this kind of yardage. He will be up against a Redskins defense that made Mitchell Trubisky look good and they rank 30th against opposing quarterbacks so far this season on DK. Jones will very likely have huge ownership this week but if you can look past that we could have a very good fantasy QB in the making.
Running Backs
Austin Ekeler ($8,000) vs Dolphins– Austin Ekeler continues to thrive with Melvin Gordon continuing to hold out. He has taken a firm grip on the RB1 role over Justin Jackson and his ability to catch out of the backfield is why he is so valuable. He doesn’t get a crazy amount of carries but he has 19 catches this season on 20 targets so if he gets the ball thrown to him he will catch it. He also has big play ability written all over him and if it weren’t for a TD called back and a fumble on the 1 inch line vs the Lions on the same drive in week two he could be even higher priced than this. Ekeler is an elite back when he is carrying most of the load and with his ability to catch in the PPR format. Look for Ekeler to have a huge week this week in Miami.
James White ($4,900) vs Bills– I think it’s safe to say we haven’t really seen everything the Patriots will do because they have been have blown 3 outmatched teams out in the first 3 weeks of the season. This week should be much closer vs a tough Bills defense which is why I like James White, who missed last week due to the birth of a child. White plays all around the field for the Patriots and catching passes is where he does a lot of his damage. Without Gronk and Antonio Brown gone there is a lot of targets to go around and at $4,900 I think White has some real upside here. He has caught 11 balls through 2 games this year and I think we could see him have 6+ this week vs Buffalo.
Chris Thompson ($4,500) vs Giants– As you can tell I love the pass catching backs and I wouldn’t be surprised if Chris Thompson got more carries than usual this week. He got 7 vs Chicago on Monday night which is more than he had all season combined and he looks like he has more to offer than Adrian Peterson at this point in his career. He has yet to score this year but Thompson hasn’t had a game with less than 48 receiving yards and has already been targeted 23 times in 3 games. The price isn’t too bad here vs a Giants D that has looked very porous to start the season.
Wide Receivers
Cooper Kupp ($6,500) vs Buccaneers– Through 3 games this season Cooper Kupp has looked like wide receiver 1 and Jared Goff’s favorite target every time he steps back in the pocket. Kupp has 31 targets this season and has eclipsed 100 yards in two of the 3 games this year. Brandin Cooks is more of the deep threat but Kupp’s run after the catch ability has been a joy to watch so far this season. Tampa’s defense just allowed Daniel Jones to throw for over 300 yards vs them so there is no reason to believe they will be able to slow down the Goff & Kupp connection this week in LA.
Kenny Golladay ($5,900) vs Chiefs– Golladay struggled for the first time this season last week only catching 2 balls for 17 yards but he was still targeted 8 times. Because of this his price has dropped $700 and I think he has some value here vs a Chiefs secondary that has allowed it’s fair share of big plays. Golladay is still a go-to option in the red zone and as long as the targets say consistent I think he should be looked at as an option every week in this offense. I expect him to find his way back into the endzone and pick up 75+ receiving yards especially if the Chiefs offense will be clicking vs the Lions defense.
Mike Williams ($4,800) vs Dolphins– It’s safe to say Mike Williams has been a little disappointing this season with no touchdowns but I think that will change this week in Miami vs the very bad Dolphins secondary. Williams is still getting targeted a good amount, 7 last week, so given his ability he should find the endzone soon. He should also be near 100% healed from the knee injury that slowed him down a bit earlier in the season. Williams is a big red zone threat and if he can find the endzone this week vs this defense he will be very valuable at this price point
.
Tight End
Will Dissly ($3,600) vs Cardinals– Other than the top tier TEs, it is hard to find production from the position. Will Dissly has tried to change that with his 3 TDs and 112 receiving yards over the last 2 games. He will also be going up against the Cardinals defense that has allowed the most points to opposing TEs this season. With the run game struggling a bit we could also see Russell Wilson putting the ball in the air more which can only help Dissly and the other Seattle pass catchers. He is the 13th highest priced TE this week and given the production and the matchup this week I don’t see why you wouldn’t give him a look.
Defense
Minnesota Vikings D/ST ($3,400) vs Bears– The Vikings defense is very good again this season and they should have a field day vs Mitch Trubisky and the Bears. I wouldn’t look too far into the Bears performance vs the dreaded Redskins on Monday night because even after a great first half the offense once against slowed to halt from poor play from Trubisky and not much going in the run game. The Vikings can get to the quarterback and even held Aaron Rodgers to under 200 passing yards so no telling what they will do to Mitch. I really like the Vikings on the road this Sunday.
