Josh Allen ($6,500) vs Eagles– Josh Allen wasn’t his sharpest in the Bills week 7 game after a bye week but he still put together a solid performance with 2 TDs and 200 yards passing along with 30 yards rushing. Allen is a dual threat option every time he drops back and he will be up against an Eagles secondary that hasn’t been able to stop anyone as of late and rank 27th against opposing QBs this season on DK. Allen should be good for 20+ FPTS easily this Sunday in my opinion.
Ryan Tannehill ($5,100) vs Buccaneers– Tannehill took over the Titans starting job last week vs the Chargers and was great throwing for 312 yards with two touchdowns. He did throw one interception that was tipped at the line of scrimmage but that doesn’t worry me too much. Tannehill wasn’t terrible with the Dolphins early in his career but injuries just derailed things so if he is healthy he can be productive. He was also extremely efficient so against a Buccaneers secondary that has struggled to get off the field I think we could see Tannehill succeed and getting him at this price vs this defense is a steal.
Chris Carson ($7,000) vs Falcons– Chris Carson failed to reach the 100 yard mark for the first time in 4 games last week against the Ravens but in this game vs the Falcons, who have looked terrible, I think that will change. I expect the Seahawks to be up a majority of this game which means in the 2nd half we could see a lot of Carson running the football. It appears the fumbling worries have passed so we can go all in on Carson getting a bulk of the carries in Seattle.
Austin Ekeler ($5,900) vs Bears– We all know Melvin Gordon is back in the Chargers backfield but he has been pretty bad since his return and the Chargers have shown that their offense is better when they have Ekeler catching balls instead of getting 2 YPC running it with Gordon. When Ekeler played a majority of the snaps LA started scoring in bunches and if it wasn’t for a poor camera angle Ekeler could have had another touchdown in this game. The Bears defense will be all over Rivers so I think this is a game where Ekeler could have a ton of catches out of the backfield.
Ty Johnson ($4,900) vs Giants– With the injury to Kerryon Johnson, Ty Johnson will start to see a lot more action out of the backfield for the Lions. I don’t like him long term but in this matchup vs the Giants I think he can find some success. He is effective catching the ball, 4/4 with 28 YDS last week, and also got 10 carries. We could be seeing a little bit of Austin Ekeler type things from Johnson with more of his value catching the ball but in this first week without Kerryon I think Ty will get a majority of the work out of the Detroit backfield over J.D. McKissic.
Tyler Lockett ($7,000) vs Falcons– Tyler Lockett continues to do great things as Russell Wilson’s number 1 pass catching option. He has scored in double-digits 6 of the 7 games last season and he could be a threat for some big plays vs the Atlanta offense. They likely won’t be throwing the ball a lot late in this game but I think Lockett will do enough early vs this very weak pass defense to make him a valuable option at this $7,000 price.
John Brown ($5,900) vs Eagles– John Brown has just put up solid performances week after week for the Bills this season. He hasn’t had less than 50 receiving yards in a game this season and has been targeted over 6 times in 4 of the 6 games this year but never under 5. Brown has a really high floor and against the Eagles, who are allowing the most FPTS to WRs on DK this season, he should be able to put up some nice numbers. I think Josh Allen has a good day this Sunday which means Brown will as well.
Larry Fitzgerald ($5,400) vs Saints– Fitzgerald had an off day last Sunday vs the Giants but a lot of that can be attributed to the rain and bad weather in New York. The Cardinals will be on the road this week vs the Saints in a game where I expect the Cards to have to throw a lot given the strength of the Saints defensive front. Arizona has shown us that they love to sling the rock and the #1 option is Larry. His price has taken a nosedive after last week so I think this is the opportunity to gets some good value.
Dallas Goedert ($2,800) vs Bills– Goedert is a bit of risk here against the tough Bills defense but he seems to be Wentz’s favorite target in the redzone. Goedert has scored 9.6+ FPTS in 3 of his last 4 games and has seen 12 targets total in each of the last 2 games. Ertz is obviously still on the team but it looks like they have been able to coexist and so far Goedert has taken a lot of the touchdowns looks. Goedert has a lot of upside at this price but beware of the risk.
Jacksonville Jaguars D/ST ($2,900) vs Jets– The Jaguars defense played very well vs the Bengals last week scoring 17 FPTS and this week they will be up against Sam Darnold and the Jets who were all sorts of bad on Monday night against the Patriots. Darnold still turns the ball over too much and with the Jets offensive line banged up as well I think the Jags can put together a very solid performance at a very good price this Sunday.
