Aaron Rodgers ($6,900) vs Chargers– Aaron Rodgers was great yet again for the Packers on Sunday night throwing for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns which was good for 30.1 FPTS. He will get another opportunity to have a big game vs a Chargers defense that is beat up like no other team in the NFL. The Bears were able to move their offense against this defense last week so we expect a guy like Rodgers to be able to cash in especially with the newfound receiving prowess of RB Aaron Jones. Even if Davante Adams doesn’t play I like Rodgers in this “away” game in LA.
Derek Carr ($5,500) vs Lions– Raiders QB Derek Carr will be up against the Lions this week who rank 30th in opposing points to quarterbacks this season on DraftKings. He has been surprisingly good this season and is coming off a game vs Houston where he threw for 285 yards and 3 touchdowns. He got his main weapon back in Tyrell Williams back last week and got him involved with a TD early. The Raiders offense is underrated in my opinion and with Carr only being priced at $5,500 this week I think he has the opportunity to exceed value in this spot.
Le’Veon Bell ($7,700) vs Dolphins– There was talk on Tuesday afternoon that Le’Veon might be moved from the Jets but that never happened so Bell will get to go up aginst a Dolphins team that has been ripped to shreds by opposing running backs. This will likely be closer than most Miami games this season but Bell should also be able to get more carries because of this. He hasn’t been the back we saw in Pittsburgh but I think a lot of that can be attributed to the state of the Jets offense. Darnold has been horrible but I see a big rebound game from New York on the road in Miami this week.
Austin Ekeler ($6,000) vs Packers– The Chargers parted ways with their offensive coordinator this week after another rough outing on that side of the football. I think this can mean big things will be coming from Ekeler after another game where Melvin Gordon wasn’t efficient, but he did score a TD. Ekeler only had 5 touches but he was able to get double digit fantasy points still. Ekeler needs to be used more in this offense and with the young quarterbacks coach who is now calling plays I believe we will see him utilized more like we did at the start of the season.
Devin Singletary ($4,700) vs Redskins– Singletary continues to play well in limited snaps with the Bills this season. He has only played in 4 games this year but he has scored double digit FPTS in 3 of those games and was very active in the passing game this week with 6 targets. The Redskins aren’t great vs opposing backs, 24th in FPTS allowed this season, and if the Bills defense can create some turnovers I think this is a game where we will see more Singletary than usual. His price has gone up a bit but I don’t see that as a problem with what he has produced so far in his young career.
Amari Cooper ($7,300) vs Giants– The Cowboys had a bye last week which was a good thing for Cooper who was a little banged up and I expect him to be at full strength on Monday night vs the Giants. The Giants pass defense is horrible ranking 29th in DK this season and we saw the resurgence of the Cowboys pass offense which was lacking for a couple of weeks. Cooper is the main man in Dallas and I expect to see him used early and often vs this Giants defense that hasn’t been able to stop hardly anything.
John Brown ($6,100) vs Redskins– John Brown continues to get consistent targets in this Bills offense and he has been one of the most consistent players overall at the WR position. He now has 4 straight games with 5 catches and has yet to have a game with less than 4 all season long. Josh Allen looks his way often and against the Redskins the opportunities should be there for the taking. Look for Brown to continue his pace that we have seen all season long.
Devante Parker ($4,400) vs Jets– A lot of people have written Davante Parker off after a rough couple of years but even with the Dolphins struggles he has been one of the best fantasy options on this team with the increase of throwing because they are always down in games. Coming into week 9 Parker has at least had 50 yards receiving or a touchdown in every game this season. A lot of that can be attributed to garbage time yards but he is thrown to a lot and with Fitzpatrick under center we know he is going to let it fly.
T.J. Hockenson ($3,700) vs Raiders– Hockenson was held in check last week only recording 1 catch on 1 target for 21 yards vs the Giants. In the two games prior he was targeted a total of 11 times so I’m not worried that this will become a thing with the Lions TE. Oakland has struggled vs tight ends this year, 28th against them in DK, and with his red zone presence I think he is always a threat to score a touchdown. There isn’t a lot of TEs that I feel confident in so getting the value with Hockenson is the move for me.
Philadelphia Eagles D/ST ($3,000) vs Bears– The Eagles D has struggled a lot of times but an easy way to fix that is go up against Mitch Trubisky and the Bears. They got back on track last week scoring 12 FPTS on the defensive end and they have a strong enough front to force Trubisky to have to make some tough decisions. It’s a risky play given what we have seen from this defense in previous weeks but they look to be improving.
