FanDuel & DraftKings NBA Daily Fantasy Picks 1/10/20
There are a handful of injuries to watch out for tonight. Anthony Davis is questionable, and should be more on the doubtful side. Domantas Sabonis and Brandon Ingram are questionable, and Paul George is also ruled out tonight for the Clippers. Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Julius Randle remain out tonight. There are some blowout concerns with the Clippers up as 13.5 favorites, and the Jazz as 12 point favorites.
Top Plays
LeBron James
– DK: $11,000 / FD: $10,700
Anthony Davis is questionable tonight, and I would lean more towards the doubtful side. With Davis off the court this season, LeBron James has seen a 37.2% usage rate and he has averaged 1.61 FPPM. James is averaging over 50 fantasy points per game in the last ten games, and has seen a 29% usage rate in that span. With that jumping up tonight with Davis likely out, we are looking at another big game.
Nikola Vucevic
– DK: $8,800 / FD: $8,800
Nikola Vucevic is a pay up center option and has been money of late. He will get Phoenix tonight, who rank 27th against opposing centers. Vucevic is averaging over 40 fantasy points per game in the last ten games, and has seen a monster 27% usage rate. Orlando has a 107 implied total tonight, and Vucevic will lead the way on the offensive side as usual.
Lonzo Ball
– DK: $7,300 / FD: $6,400
Lonzo Ball is far too cheap on FanDuel, and more appropriately priced on DraftKings. Ball is averaging over 30 fantasy points per game over the last ten games, and has seen a 23% usage rate. He gets New York tonight, who rank 21st against opposing point guards this season. The Pelicans have one of the higher implied totals sitting at 116.
Bam Adebayo
– DK: $8,100 / FD: $8,200
Bam Adebayo plays most of his minutes at center, which is where we tend to attack Brooklyn. The Nets have allowed the 5th most fantasy points per game to opposing centers this season. Adebayo dropped a 17 and 16 game on Brooklyn earlier this season, and that was with him shooting below average. He is averaging 39 fantasy points over his last ten games, and is shooting over 60%.
Tournament Plays
Markelle Fultz
– DK: $5,800 / FD: $5,700
Now with D.J. Augustin ruled out, I would expect Markelle Fultz to get a bump up in ownership. He has been playing well of late, and this is a great matchup for him. Phoenix ranks 24th against opposing point guards. Fultz should play 30+ minutes tonight, and while his shot has been around 40% over the last few games, he is notching 2.5 steals per game in the last five, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.
Maxi Kleber
– DK: $5,800 / FD: $4,500
If Anthony Davis is ruled out, Kyle Kuzma is likely the popular value at the position. Maxi Kleber is a nice pivot who will see plenty of minutes with Kristaps Porzingis out. Davis off the court is also a knock to the Lakers defense. Kleber is averaging 15-6-1 with 1.2 blocks per game over the last five, and is shooting 43% from three. He is seeing around 30 minutes per game in that span as well.
Bobby Portis
– DK: $6,400 / FD: $4,400
Julius Randle is ruled out again, and Bobby Portis will see plenty of minutes again. He is far too cheap on FanDuel, but sucks up your only center spot. DK he is priced up quite a bit, but 40 fantasy point upside will do that I guess. Portis played 29 minutes last time out, putting up a 13-13-6 game against a tougher Utah defense. With the minutes there, he is a strong tournament play tonight.
Value Plays
There are a few values already highlighted tonight, but Josh Hart stands out as another one with Jrue Holiday out tonight. Hart will see starter’s minutes, and it is a strong matchup against the Knicks. Ish Smith has had some big games of late, and is a tournament play against the Hawks. This is a great matchup for Smith, with Atlanta ranking 25th against point guards. Dillon Brooks continues to shoot well, and is still on the cheaper side. Trevor Ariza and Nemanja Bjelica are both still cheap and seeing minutes in the Kings rotation due to injury. Tougher matchup against the Bucks tonight, but the minutes will be there. If Aaron Gordon is out, you can take a flyer on Khem Birch.
