France vs. Spain World Cup Match Betting Analysis
The draw might be the best bet here, with France winning seven straight matches while Spain has won five straight along with a current 36-match unbeaten streak. Let’s go one market at a time, as there is a lot to unpack here. Beginning with the BTS, the BTS has failed to hit in four of five matches for France as well as five of six matches for Spain. It comes at a very juicy +140, which means oddsmakers expect the BTS to actually hit. That makes sense when you look at France’s goal total data.
The French have scored Over 2.5 goals in four of six matches, while seeing the game total go Over in 11 of 13 matches. However, the last two French matches saw the Under hit while Spain has seen the Under hit in four straight matches after going Over the match prior. Although oddsmakers expect the BTS to hit, they’re not sold on goals being scored heavily, indicating a potential 1-1 draw (again, the draw might be the best bet).
With the French’s data, why would the Over scare oddsmakers? Both teams don’t allow goals. France has allowed Under 1.5 goals in seven straight matches while Spain has done the same in a remarkable 10 straight matches. Also, Spain has scored Under 1.5 goals themselves in four straight matches after scoring Over 1.5 goals the match prior.
So looking at both the data and odds, the expected match is a 1-1 draw. However, the data also points to BTS failing and neither team going Over 1.5 goals, and if one team does go Over 1.5 goals then it’s likely France. So while the draw is our best bet, there are a few markets you can play with. For France, some players to potentially look at in the prop market include Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele.
Mbappe has scored in 10 of 11 World Cup matches, along with the first goal in seven of eight World Cup matches. Dembele has scored a goal or assist in four of five World Cup matches.

Not in a Legal Sports Betting State? Consider Prediction Markets
If sports betting isn’t available in your state, prediction markets offer another way to participate in sports-related events. Unlike traditional sportsbooks, prediction markets allow users to buy and sell contracts based on the outcome of real-world events, with prices fluctuating based on market sentiment. Bettors have a chance to take early exits on their positions, providing an opportunity to secure profit before an event is settled.
Several platforms have expanded their sports offerings in recent years, including Kalshi, Polymarket, and Fanatics Markets. These sites allow users to trade contracts on outcomes ranging from championship winners and award races to individual game results, depending on the platform and available markets.
Prediction markets operate under different regulatory frameworks than traditional sportsbooks, and availability can vary by state and platform. Before signing up, be sure to check each site’s eligibility requirements and terms of service to confirm whether you can participate where you live.
