Point Guard
Jamal Murray ($6,500) vs Kings– Murray has played some really good basketball through 2 games so far this season averaging 20.5 PPG 6 RPG and 4.5 APG. He wasn’t efficient in their first game but he shot much better in their 2nd game and is 5/11 from behind the arc so far this season. He will be involved in what is expected to be a fast paced game vs the Kings tonight who have really been struggling on both ends of the floor. Nikola Jokic takes a lot of the assists on this team but I think Murray will still be able to put up more than the 37 FPTS he is averaging through 2 games this season vs Sacramento.
Shooting Guard
RJ Barrett ($6,100) vs Bulls– RJ Barrett has started his rookie season off great averaging 21 PPG 5 RPG and 2.7 APG in 3 games so far this year. Fantasy wise he has not scored less than 33.25 FPTS yet. He has a very high floor because of his ability to rebound and distribute the basketball so he will also provide a little more than just scoring. The Bulls are a young team that has been shaky on defense allowing opponents to shoot a high percentage and while RJ’s deep ball is going in I’ll put him on my roster tonight at this very fair price.
Small Forward
Ben Simmons ($8,800) vs Hawks– No surprise, Ben Simmons has been stuffing the stat sheet and is on his way to becoming one of the best fantasy options at his position this season. He is averaging 46.75 FPTS per game through 2 contests and is averaging 18.5 PPG 6.0 RPG and 9.5 APG in those games. Although he hasn’t been shooting 3s he is able to score near the basket efficiently and even with Embiid questionable for this matchup either way I think Simmons will put up big numbers vs a Hawks team that doesn’t like playing defense at all and is very young and inexperienced. Look for Simmons to fill it up tonight on the road in Atlanta.
Power Forward
Jonathan Isaac ($5,300) vs Raptors– Isaac won’t score a lot of points and he won’t shoot a lot but he is an above average defender and he can grab a good amount of boards to be valuable, especially at this price point. He has scored 21 FPTS and 22.5 FPTS through 2 games this year while only scoring 11 total points. He isn’t a scorer but we expect more than this and I believe it will come tonight. His price has already dropped $800 since opening night so I think there is some sneaky value on Isaac who showed toward the end of last year that he can put up some decent fantasy numbers.
Center
Mitchell Robinson ($5,600) vs Bulls– Robinson is coming into this game with an ankle injury but he is listed as probable and should be a full go vs the Bulls. It still looks like Robinson is only going to get around 20 minutes a game but he sure is effective in those minutes. He is averaging 11 PPG 6.5 RPG and 2 BPG so far this season and he is 10/11 shooting from the field. Robinson is an elite shot blocker, which we saw last year, and the longer he can stay in the game the more effective he will be. He should be able to have his way vs Wendell Carter Jr. tonight at home.
Sleeper Play
Kevin Knox ($3,600) vs Bulls– It’s scary liking 3 Knicks tonight but somehow I do. Kevin Knox has been relegated to a bench role this season but given the circumstances he has been playing pretty well still. He is still playing over 25 minutes per game off the bench and has been much more efficient especially from deep going 7/8 so far on deep balls. You aren’t going to get a lot of guys in this price range that play this much and shoot this much so in this matchup I think Knox is worth a look if you want to roster some big named players in your other slots. Knox with double digit points in 2 of 3 games and with 5+ rebounds in 2 of 3 games has me hopeful that he can put those together and come through for us at this price point.
