The Oakland Athletics continue to put together strong rosters year in and year out despite the smaller payroll. This Athletics team is once again very well rounded, and they have a lot of good players that are in the beginning of their prime. Matt Olson and Matt Chapman headline this offense, but Chapman is also one of the best defensive players in baseball. Marcus Semien broke out last season, and will look to keep things going. Ramon Laureano is a cannon for an arm, which is much needed in that home ballpark of theirs. The A’s are going to rely on some young arms with Sean Manaea, Frankie Montas, and Jesus Luzardo. Oakland has a great depth chart, and also a lot of platoon bats which they have always been relying upon to get the offense going. The 2023 depth chart is no different for this club, and it should be another successful year.
