Red Sox

Boston’s big offseason headline was losing Mookie Betts by trading him to the Dodgers. They brought in some prospects in return, alongside Alex Verdugo, but overall it is nothing that is going to be substantial pieces. The starting rotation is a real issue for the Red Sox right now, as Chris Sale is set to miss the season, and Nathan Eovaldi has had an injury history as well. Eduardo Rodriguez is going to headline the rotation, but after that it is not pretty. We will see names like Brian Johnson, Martin Perez, and Ryan Weber make starts. Despite losing Betts, the Red Sox offense is still strong. Rafael Devers is coming off a breakout season, and power bat J.D. Martinez is still one of the best hitters in baseball. Xander Bogaerts, Andrew Benintendi, and Jackie Bradley Jr. continue to be focal points of this team.
