Washington is one of the more interesting snap count situations heading into 2018. Of course Alex Smith taking over at quarterback will grab the headlines, but there is a lot of running backs capable of leading the way for Washington. Derrius Guice was drafted, and off-field issues likely stopped him from being drafted higher. The optimal pairing here would be Guice and Chris Thompson, who both are exceptional in their skillsets. Rob Kelley and Samaje Perine are also in the mix, but have not really capitalized on efficient snaps when given the opportunity. Vernon Davis would jump into starter snaps if Jordan Reed goes down. The Redskins have lined up Josh Doctson, Jamison Crowder, and Paul Richardson as their core this offseason. It is hard to see anyone behind these guys getting time.
