The Patriots had their first losing season in 20 years and decided that was enough as they spent the most money in the first three days in free agency ever. There are a lot of open spots on their roster. First is their quarterback battle, where Cam Newton and rookie Mac Jones will compete for the starting job. Then there is their improved TE and WR cores who both ranked in the bottom of the NFL last season. New free agency signings in TE Hunter Henry, TE Jonnu Smith, WR Nelson Agholor, and WR Kendrick Bourne should all be improvements. Their wide receiver room got surprisingly crowded as the new players will be going up against guys already on the roster like WR Gunner Olszewski, WR Jacobi Meyers, and WR N’Keal Harry. There are many new faces on this Patriots team and may the best man win.
