Sportsbook partnerships with professional teams have become a common occurrence as of late. The concept of a popular sports franchise collaborating with a mobile sportsbook app that makes it simple to place wagers on that team makes a lot of sense, which is why so many professional teams have numerous sports betting partners. Even college sports are getting in on these deals, as seen with the collaboration between the University of Colorado Buffaloes and PointsBet Sportsbook a few years ago, the first partnership between a sports betting site and college sports program. Well, another day another partnership as one of the most promising young NBA teams has struck a deal with one of the most popular online sportsbooks. Here’s what you should know about the recent deal between the Memphis Grizzlies and Caesars Sportsbook.
Memphis Grizzlies Meet Caesars Sportsbook In New Deal
It’s just been announced that a deal between Caesars Sportsbook and the Memphis Grizzlies has been finalized over multiple years. This makes Caesars Sportsbook an official sports betting partner of the NBA franchise, joining FanDuel Sportsbook and WynnBET Sportsbook, the other big names that have teamed up with Memphis. One of the most exciting parts of this partnership will be the Caesars retail sportsbook that will open at the FedExForum stadium where the Grizzlies play. Additionally, there will be promotional opportunities between the online sportsbook app and the team. Grind City Media, the company behind such shows as The Odds Couple, Rise & Grind, and The Chris Vernon Show, will also have Caesars as the official presenting partner for certain programs.
However, this wasn’t the only progress Caesars Sportsbook has made in the Tennessee sports market. According to Gambling.com, bettors in the Volunteer State now have access to Caesars Rewards, the loyalty program that gives you more credits the more you wager. These rewards credits can be used on a wide variety of dining and entertainment experiences, hotel stays, and even Grizzlies merch and events.
More Stadiums Getting Retail Sportsbooks
The physical Caesars Sportsbook opening up in FedExForum is definitely going to attract some wagers from different fans. The Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics, and Washington Capitals also have a partnership with Caesars, which includes a physical sports betting location at Capital One Arena. Some of these types of deals are with the stadiums themselves rather than the professional teams, as seen with the partnership between PointsBet Sportsbook and Little Caesars Arena, the home of the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings.
A Look at Other Tennessee Partnerships
Outside of the Grizzlies, plenty of different professional teams throughout the state of Tennessee have made deals with betting companies. The Tennessee Titans, for example, have made a deal with the popular BetMGM Sportsbook brand. In the NHL, the Nashville Predators have two separate deals with DraftKings Sportsbook and Bally Bet Sportsbook. As it stands right now, neither the Tennessee Volunteers or the Vanderbilt Commodores have any sports betting partnerships. It will be interesting to see if either of these college sports teams makes a deal with one of the established sports betting platforms in the future.
